The park and “My Waterway @ Punggol” are joint agency projects between HDB and National Parks Board. The project is part of HDB’s ‘Remaking Our Heartland’ initiatives to turn Punggol Town into a ‘Waterfront Town’. The waterway is Singapore’s longest man-made waterway and it runs through the park. It both serves to increase park and water frontage for the housing estates and provide a green respite for residents. Designed with four themes to cater to residents of all ages, the park also provides residents opportunities for leisure activities such as jogging and cycling which can be carried out along the promenade at both sides of the waterway.
- Nature Cove
- At the Nature Cove, visitors can relax and enjoy the scenic view of the Waterway. They can also enjoy leisure activities at the lawn area.
- Recreation Zone
- Specially catering to families with family members of all ages, the Recreation Zone allows families to enjoy activities such as water play and sand play. There is also a fitness corner for all ages.
- Heritage Zone
- Along this zone, there are mature trees and vegetation along the stretch of the old walkway
- Green Gallery
- Here, visitors can take a stroll and admire the mature trees which are conserved together with the natural terrain of the park. One round of the whole Punggol Waterway (including PCN track) is about 8.4 km (Distance includes crossing the bridges).
